Overview

It would be disingenuous to call Furfur "fickle", though his energy and conversation can come across as such for those who aren't yet used to his demeanor. Some accounts tell of his penchant for being a liar. I myself am unsure of how I feel about that descriptor. Regardless, I still consider him to be a trustworthy companion and he can prove to be a wonderful friend for those who need some emotional assistance.

Personal Experiences, Detailed

First Impressions

Unlike some of the other demons I've talked to, his voice seems low, raspy, quiet. I don't literally hear the demons when I go into meditative visions, I just have the sense of how they're "supposed" to sound. His sentences at the beginnings of our conversations are curt. He seemed more interested in me leading the conversation, wanting to know what I planned to do here before saying anything of value back to me. He talks slow, picking his words carefully.

"Guarded" is another word that comes to mind, that I don't think I would fully use for him. Aloof, somewhat. "Calculating" is much more apt. While all of these ancient demons are wise, you can feel it in Furfur's presence.

Furfur was one of the few demons who did not seem to want a pact or working relationship with me. He didn't tell me that he would come if I summoned him to help in my spells, but I knew this about him. Sometimes I think his energy knows how to imply ideas to you without him overtly speaking to you.

I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be doing here, which may have been the reason for his silence. I only tried to contact him since I needed some help with Goetic magic for a friend, and I remembered a long time ago that someone else told me that I have a connection to Furfur from a past life.

He confirmed he would assist me, though to this day I am unsure of if he actually has the past life connection, or if it as strong as the psychic reader told me. It could just be that he's playing along as one of my spirit guides. It doesn't really matter to me, but food for thought.

This was pretty early on into my adventure of working with demons in a serious manner, so I mostly just had standard offerings out- candles, incense, etc. He was fine with this.

Other

I was putting off writing about this one, as I found the process difficult. He's more secretive than other demons, and may ask you to keep the workings between you and him private. This is a stark difference from other demons I've met, that demand praise- some even wanting public praise as compensation for granting your requests.

It's not that he didn't want anything in return for his services, however. His preferred offerings were pretty standard. Candles, food, etc. I'm not going to say that he would never want anything like blood or intimacy, but those were not his go-tos for the first few times I had contacted him for rituals. Blood does work, however, and he made it clear I was free to use it- he just wouldn't ask me for it unless there was a situation that absolutely required it. If you want to work with him on a continuous basis, the offerings may be more personalized as time goes on.

Though he's one of the more calm spirits I've talked to, don't let that fool you. He is very much capable of raising energy and causing chaos if need be. It makes sense. You wouldn't want a trigger-happy guy to carry the nuke codes, would you? Disruption is only useful if the opponent has a good setup going. He knows not to use his powers willy-nilly.

Furfur is an excellent spirit that I would recommend for people who don't mind the fact that sometimes instead of answers, you just get more questions. He hasn't outright lied to me before. You need to ask the right questions for the situation. Sometimes he will decline to answer if the subject is too complex and he knows you're not going to understand- in this case, he usually opts to ask you a question instead to help you more align with your true goals.

Others may be tempted to contact him due to his association with love. While he can help attract love, he deals best with helping two people rekindle lost love. Unlike Asmodeus, he isn't really a "lust" spirit. He also likes honesty in relationships and healthy relationships. If you plan to petition him for love, plan accordingly. He may decline a reconcilation spell if it wouldn't be healthy.

One can also invoke him for his literal association with storms. Just be warned that you might get what you ask for. I also find that his energy tends to increase with thunderstorms, so that would be a good time to do any ritual work with him.

Identifying The Spirit

Images of stag deer, angel wings, and fire are common symbols that come up for Furfur.

While he is often associated with Mars and Fiery things, I don't usually sense this energy from him, unless he is actively using this powers to assist in a ritual. His energy does seem a bit "warm" at times, though. If you were invoking him for hexes or combat magic, then go with Mars. If you can specifically tap into the Scorpio side of Mars, then do so.

I prefer to use things associated with Venus with him. It might be because I'm a Libra (Venus rules Libra), and because I typically invoked him due to relationship worries.
